Privacy policy
Nothing leaves your computer without your decision, and feed calculation always happens on your side.
Effective 27 September 2026
This policy covers the ids-webcam.eu website, the app.ids-webcam.eu application and your IDS WebCAM account. It explains who processes your personal data, why, on what legal basis and for how long, and what rights you have. We apply it in line with the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Polish data protection law. The Polish version is the binding one.
In short
- Calculation runs in your browser. You don't have to send a file anywhere to recalculate it.
- The account is optional. Without one the app works in full and your settings stay on your computer.
- Your account holds your settings: tools, machines, presets and the machine profile, so they are available on every computer you use.
- You decide where each file lives. It can stay on your computer or go to the library in your account, so it's at hand everywhere. You choose per file and can change your mind at any time. Without your decision a file goes nowhere.
- Website statistics only with your consent. The ids-webcam.eu website counts visits with Google Analytics only once you agree. The app has no cookies or analytics and does not track what you do with your files.

What data we process
When you use the app without an account
We process none of your data apart from the server logs described below. Settings, your tool library and loaded files are stored only in your browser, on your computer.
When you create an account and sign in
- E-mail address, used for signing in, either with a link sent by e-mail or with Google.
- Interface language (Polish or English), so the sign-in e-mail reaches you in your language.
- Google account data, if you sign in with Google: name, profile picture and Google account ID. Google lists them on its consent screen before sharing anything with us. We never receive your Google password or access to other Google services.
- Technical sign-in data: sign-in time and IP address, kept in the sign-in service logs.
What is stored in your account
- Tool library: names, diameters, number of flutes, cutting parameters and tool-to-T-number assignments.
- Machines and presets: machine dynamics profiles, axis ranges, program headers and footers, and settings presets.
- Your consent decision on sharing chipload windows (if you give it).
This data describes your machines and tools, not you. It may, however, contain names you type yourself, such as a customer name in a tool name.
The selected machine, preset and material stay a setting of each computer and do not go to your account.
Files in your library
The file library (“Files” in the app) holds files you want at hand on every computer, such as standard drilling cycles, macros or whole projects. Which file goes to the library and which stays on your computer is your decision, made per file. You also set the default location yourself. You can remove any file from the library at any time. Library files are never used for any statistics or models, even if you consent to sharing chipload windows.
Server logs
The website and app servers log standard request data: IP address, time, requested page and browser type. They contain no file content: loading a file for recalculation sends nothing to the server.
Website visit statistics (consent only)
If you agree, the ids-webcam.eu website (not the app) uses Google Analytics 4. Google then collects: pages visited, how you arrived (for example a search engine or a link), approximate location (country, city) derived from your IP address, device and browser type, time spent on the site, and clicks on opening the app, on contact, on questions in the “Questions” section and on the simulation at the top of the page. An identifier for your browser is stored in the _ga and _ga_… cookies. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalisation, so the data is not linked to your Google account or used for advertising. We see aggregate reports, not individual people.
Correspondence
If you write to us, we process your e-mail address and the content of your message.
Purposes and legal bases
- Running your account and syncing settings between your computers: providing the service you request by creating an account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Saving files to your library: as above, on your explicit instruction (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Service security, server logs, protection against abuse and possible claims: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Replying to your message: our legitimate interest in correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Website visit statistics (Google Analytics): only your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), also required by electronic communications law for storing cookies. You can change your decision at any time with the “Analytics settings” button in the website footer.
- Sharing chipload windows: only your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw in the app at any time. It covers only data detached from you (diameter, number of flutes, tool shape and chipload windows), without names or identifiers. Nothing is shared on this basis until the shared model launches.
Browser storage and cookies
The app.ids-webcam.eu application uses no cookies and no analytics or advertising tools. It loads no scripts from third-party domains.
The ids-webcam.eu website asks on your first visit whether it may count visits. Until you agree, it does not connect to Google and stores no cookies. Once you agree, it loads the Google Analytics script, which stores these cookies:
_gaand_ga_…: tell repeat visits from the same browser apart; they expire after 13 months.
The website remembers your decision (consent or refusal) in your browser's storage for 12 months, so it doesn't ask on every visit. The “Analytics settings” button in the footer lets you change it. Withdrawing consent stops sending data immediately and deletes the _ga cookies.
The app stores the following in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB):
- settings and your tool library, so they survive closing the tab;
- sync state with your account;
- once signed in, a session key so you don't have to sign in every time.
This storage is necessary for features you request, so it does not require consent. You can remove it in your browser settings by clearing site data for app.ids-webcam.eu. Signing out removes the session key but keeps your settings on the computer.
How long we keep data
- Account data and data stored in the account: until the account is deleted. After deletion it is removed from the database immediately and from the provider's backups once their cycle ends.
- Server and sign-in logs: for the period set by the hosting and sign-in providers, usually a few weeks.
- Visit statistics in Google Analytics: 14 months, after which Google deletes them automatically.
- Correspondence: until the matter is closed, then at most 12 months.
- Consent to sharing: until withdrawn.
Who else has access
We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. We entrust it only to providers without whom the service would not work, to the extent necessary and under contract:
- Supabase Inc.: account database and sign-in service. Data is stored in a data centre in Frankfurt (EU).
- VH.pl: hosting of the ids-webcam.eu website and the app.ids-webcam.eu application.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France): sending sign-in link e-mails. It receives your e-mail address and the content of the e-mail; servers in the EU.
- E-mail providers: handling correspondence.
- Google Ireland Limited: Google Analytics, only if you agree, as a processor acting on our behalf.
If you sign in with Google, Google Ireland Limited confirms your identity. For your Google account, Google is a separate controller and applies its own privacy policy.
Transfers outside the EEA
We store account data in the European Union. Supabase Inc. and Google (including as the Google Analytics provider) have offices or affiliates in the United States, so access from there cannot be ruled out, for example during technical support. Any such access relies on GDPR mechanisms: standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or an adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and obtain a copy;
- rectify your data;
- erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
- restrict processing;
- data portability;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
A copy of your data: the “export data” button in the Tools tab (or “Export (ZIP)” in the “Files” window) saves all your settings and library files, from this computer and from your account, to one ZIP file with folders you can open without IDS WebCAM. At any time and without asking us.
Deleting your account: in the app, in the account window: “Delete account…”. The account is deleted together with the settings and files saved to it; you can download a data export (ZIP) first. Data stored only in your browser stays on your computer. You can also write to biuro@illusion-design.studio from the address your account uses and we will delete it for you.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw), or with the authority in your own EU country.
Providing data is voluntary. Without an account you won't be able to sync between computers, but feed calculation works without limits.
Security
Connections to the website, the app and the sign-in service are encrypted (HTTPS). The database lets each signed-in user read and change only their own data. The database itself enforces this, not just the app. We store no passwords: you sign in with a one-time link or with Google.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the law or the scope of the service changes, for example when the file library launches. The current version is always at this address, and the date at the top shows when it took effect. Send privacy questions to biuro@illusion-design.studio.
